(Joseph) Warren Cassidy, a former Mayor of Lynn, MA and executive vice president of the National Rifle Association (NRA), died Wednesday in Mirror Lake, NH. Cassidy was born in 1930 in Lynn, MA. He graduated from Wakefield High School in 1948, Brewster Academy in 1949, and Dartmouth College in 1953. Warren played catcher/outfielder for Dartmouth. He attended St. Jean Baptiste Catholic school in Lynn, MA for his elementary years. At 12 years old he went to study with the Marist Brothers at St. Joseph Juniorate in Tyngsboro, MA. After four years there he entered the seminary at St. Ann's Hermitage Novitiate in Poughkeepsie, NY. He left the seminary in January and finished his last semester of high school back at St. Jean's.
